I apologize to my followers but right now we need to spread the word about ACTA. SOPA and PIPA may have been post-poned for now but we can’t let our gards down.
If ACTA passes we’ll lose internet as we know it!
Just watch this to really understand how serious the situation is
Visit the ‘STOP ACTA’ official websites
sign the petition !!! share and spread the word with everyone you know !

This is important and we need to keep spreading the word with everyone we know or Internet as we know risk disappearing… and not just that (watch the video to see all the consequences of ACTA )
A more-detailed explanation of ACTA
WATCH THIS. Just watch.
WATCH.
THIS IS LAST ENEMY.
This is V for Vendetta, this is EVERY big brother horror story, every dark future written by any author, imagined by any artist… and it’s happening now.
Sorry to flood your dashes but we need to get educated, get signing and get awareness… Wiki and Reddit and everyone need to do for Acta what we did for Sopa.
I would be really happy if people from all around the world would react to this like SOPA. I mean, I protested against SOPA even though I’m in the UK and so it technically wouldn’t affect me. So, I would be overjoyed if ACTA would stir up the same reaction as the SOPA and PIPA.
Watch and spread the word. ACTA is scary as fuck.
Oh my god.
Basically every popular website will be affected. Tumblr would become useless… and perhaps Facebook too… and so many others.
They might as well delete the internet as a whole.
We have to fight.
Sign every single petition, tell all of your friends and family. Do everything you can to stop this misleading organistion.
oh fuck no.
Watch this. Sign the petition. It’s OUR internet. OUR freedom. WTF ARE THEY DOING
How much do you trust your Internet Service Provider? What if they were monitoring your every move, turning over your personal information, or reporting your activity to the authorities? This isn't some hypothetical, nightmare scenario. It's the reality we are all facing with a new international accord that is poised to fundamentally destroy the openness of the internet, the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).
Disguised as a trade agreement and negotiated in secret, ACTA poses a threat to free speech online by forcing websites and ISPs to watch and track what we do online in the name of copyright protection. While protecting copyright is a legitimate goal, ACTA takes a fire hose to a match in protecting intellectual property, while blatantly disregarding our rights in the process.
Already, eight countries have signed the agreement and others are lining up. ACTA is making its way to the European Parliament for a final consent vote. Without EU approval, other countries will be forced back to the negotiating table. Sign the petition here to demand Parliament to vote "No" on ACTA:
https://www.accessnow.org/page/s/just-say-no-to-acta
So what makes ACTA so alarming? It demands companies to spy on us, criminalizes people for trivial offences (like downloading songs), and is so vaguely worded that it could allow governments to implement dangerous copyright-enforcement regimes, such as the French “three-strike” law, which cuts off a user's Internet access.
ACTA, which is not aligned with international legal standards, has long been opposed by leading experts, civil society, and lawmaking bodies in many countries like Brazil and Mexico. Yet, portions of ACTA continue to be copy and pasted into other trade agreements and national laws, putting user rights dangerously at risk. Now, with our collective voice, we can sway the European Parliament to shoot ACTA down!

Users of sites like YouTube, Wikipedia, and Facebook are at risk of being monitored aggressively and be placed in danger since mere allegations of copyright infringement could lead to users being cut off from the Internet. We must stand strong and reject agreements, which undermine democracy and the rule of law, and trample on our fundamental rights! Say “No” to ACTA by signing here:

I am not going to put this under a Read More because people need to at least understand what this is.
ACTA (British equivalent of SOPA and PIPA combined; Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) may sound great (considering it sounds like it’s stopping fraudulent material from spreading) but if it gets passed, our internet will be monitored and websites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr website are very, very likely to be blocked in Europe as it is possible (and very easy) to upload copyrighted material. Also, Google Images is likely to be blocked, as well. Want to quote something witty you say on an online newspaper subscription? Well, good luck because ACTA will fine you if you quote any sort of product you pay for. What they are basically doing is copyrighting the English language. If this is passed and Facebook doesn’t get blocked, you may end up being fined if you put up a picture of yourself if it has trademarked or copyrighted material(s) in the background (for example a company logo which is registered as a trademark). You definitely won’t be able to put the lyrics to that song you love as a status. If you live in America, you may be thinking “how would this affect me?”
Tumblr would be one of the first websites to get blocked as it is extremely easy to post copyrighted songs, images, videos, text, basically everything. If the whole of Europe were to lose the ability to gain access to it then the inflow would decresase dramatically. And, as I hope you know, independent (independant meaning ones that aren’t using another website’s support and has it’s own URL rather than “.tumblr.com” or “.webs.com”, etc.) websites cost money to run. Now, if ACTA were to get passed, the earning for Tumblr would drop dramatically. This may lead to the website losing many of it’s current functions and possibly even getting shut down completely.
You know about the “death” of Megaupload, right? Stupid question. Of course you do. You may be thinking “we have slayed the SOPA monster with teeth that bite and claws that catch” (With ACTA, that thought would technically be illegal. Just sayin’.) but this could lead to so much more. ACTA prevents you from even taking other ideas and adapting them Imagine if they were to suddenly ban the four chords of harmony (E, B, D flat and A. You know, the ones in nearly every single successful song)? It would destroy the music industry. And how do you think journalists write? See what other people write then just morph it. So, in effect, it is also causing problems for the people it is meant to help. “Why would they do it, then?” I hear you ask. To be honest, it’s probably so that they can earn more money with all the fines.
If you want to take a stand against it, please sign a petition or something. It does affect you.

ACTA will just not affect us in the first world countries, it will also affect third world countries and their access to medicine and other life support means.
“The ACTA deal would cut off people from life-saving medicines. Millions of people rely on generic medicines to treat diseases like malaria and HIV. If the so-called Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) goes forward, they could find themselves unable to afford the drugs that keep them alive.”
